Lauer roughed up; Padres drop another to Cards

In his Petco Park debut, Eric Lauer was pounded for four homers over 2 1/3 innings in a 9-5 loss to St. Louis on Friday night. He allowed six runs on seven hits and didn`t record a strikeout. The Cardinals jumped on top in the second when Paul DeJong swatted a three-run homer. An inning later they tacked on three dingers in a four-batter span.
