Hot Soler homers as KC downs Red Sox in 13

Jorge Soler belted a three-run home run in the 13th inning and left-hander Brian Flynn got the final two outs for his first career save as the Royals evened the series against the Red Sox. Soler jumped on a 1-0 curveball from Brian Johnson and lifted it just over the Green Monster. Alex Gordon`s clutch homer in the ninth off Craig Kimbrel forced extra frames. Eduardo Nunez hit a tying homer for Boston in the 12th after Jon Jay`s sacrifice fly in the top half put Kansas City in front.
