What looked like a memorable doubleheader for JaCoby Jones and a sweep for the Tigers fell apart in a tumultuous ninth inning. Abraham Almonte`s game-tying, pinch-hit single off closer Shane Greene and Niko Goodrum`s run-scoring error pushed the Royals in front for the first time all day, sending the Tigers to a 3-2 loss and a day-night doubleheader split on Friday night at Comerica Park.
