The European Union criticized Turkey`s efforts to try and win membership with the bloc since the number of political fights between other European states were `not conducive to good neighborly relations,` according to Yahoo News. The European Commission released a report on Tuesday which said that Ankara had some `serious shortcomings` on Democracy and the rule of law in the country.
