Following Apple`s acquisition of Texture, the all-you-can-read magazine service, the company is expected to integrate the subscription model into Apple News within the next year. And like Apple Music, that`s the kind of value and revenue add that makes core businesses like iPhone even more attractive and valuable. Rolling Texture up into Apple News and offering a similar subscription service has been the assumption since day one, but it looks like it might take up to a year to get off the ground.
