Syrian air defenses were responding to a missile attack carried out over Homs which was likely targeting the Shayrat air base late on Monday, according to Syrian state television. The Guardian reported that SANA claimed all the missiles were shot down by the country`s air defenses and showed pictures of a missile shot in the air above Shayrat. SANA did not specify who may have fired the missiles.
