Reds match dubious club mark in loss to Cards

The last time the Reds opened a season with a 2-11 record was 1955, when rock `n` roll music and McDonald`s were just getting started and the polio vaccine was deemed safe and effective. By the end of that season, the club rallied for a 75-79 record. Now that the 2018 Reds have equaled that rough start following Friday`s 5-3 loss to the Cardinals at Great American Ball Park, they will have to hope for a similar surge to get some footing. Cincinnati has dropped six in a row while scoring 16 runs during the skid.
