Another man denied ambulance in UP; man carries dead wife on handcart to hospital

A 37-year-old man lost his wife after he was allegedly denied an ambulance to bring her for treatment, the Indian Express reported on Wednesday. In desperation, the man carried his sick wife on a handcart for 8 kilometres to Maharaja Tej Singh District Hospital in Mainpuri in Uttar Pradesh. The woman, however, was declared brought dead on arrival at the hospital. Again allegedly denied a hearse van, the husband took the body home on the handcart that he uses to sell vegetables at Hariharpur village.
