Toronto police have released a photo of an unidentified man who they believe may be another victim in a string of murders centred around the city’s gay village.Det.-Sgt. Hank Idsinga told a news conference Monday that investigators were releasing the photo as a last resort after exhausting other methods of identifying the man.Idsinga displayed the photo during an update into the case of Bruce McArthur, who police have charged with six counts of first-degree murder in the disappearances of Andrew Kinsman, Selim Esen, Majeed Kayhan, Soroush Mahmudi, Dean Lisowick and Skandaraj “Skanda” Navaratnam. He also told the new conference that police have now isolated a seventh set of human remains from the six previously found in planters seized at a home in Mallory Cres., where McArthur worked as a landscaper.Police have identified three of those sets of remains. They were of Kinsman, who was identified through fingerprint evidence, and Navaratnam and Mahmudi, whose identities were confirmed through dental records.Ontario`s chief forensic pathologist told Monday’s news conference that the causes of death have not yet been determined.“This is a unique investigation in the history of our organization. It is drawing on the talents and expertise of essentially everyone in the organization,” Pollanen said.McArthur, 66, has been held in segregation at the Toronto South Detention Centre since his arrest in January.Idsinga previously said about 20 planters were seized from properties across the city as part of the investigation.With files from Bryann Aguilar
