Health board plans to hold Health Minister account for bowel cancer screening delay

Health Minister David Clark is being accused of leaving South Canterbury`s population at greater risk of developing bowel cancer by delaying a national screening programme. On Friday, South Canterbury District Health Board (SCDHB), Community and Public Health Advisory Committee chairman Murray Cleverley attacked Clark for delaying rolling out the National Bowel Cancer Screening Programme across the region by 12 months.
