An American former prisoner in North Korea who burned to death in a San Diego field last fall had suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder and committed suicide, the Medical Examiner`s office said. An off-duty California Highway Patrol officer was on Pacific Highway near Sea World Drive when he saw a man on fire, running then collapsing, about 11:30 p.m. Nov. 17.
