Kennett alpine teams eager to take on all comers

CONWAY - The snow this week was a welcome sight for members of the Kennett High alpine team. The Eagles can put away their sneakers, dust off their ski boots and hit the slopes for gate training. `We`re just wrapping up two weeks of drylands and headed to Canmore (Wednesday) afternoon for the first time,` Laurel Zengilowski, Eagles´ head ski coach and alpine coach, said. `We`ll free ski as a team and work on some fundamentals prior to our first race at King Pine on (Wednesday, Dec. 20 against Kingwood).` The Kennett girls are looking for `one for the thumb` this year as they go for an impressive sixth consecutive state championship.
