He’s vowed to make $6.1 billion in cuts to jobs and services.”The NDP leader stressed “it absolutely does not have to be this way,” which is why the upcoming vote will be a change election.“I hear it everywhere I go. There’s a real sense of disappointment with Kathleen Wynne and the Liberals. Folks are saying that they’ve pretty much had enough of what’s happening in the province. They’re looking for what’s next.”In her year-end news conference on the final day of the Legislative session until the House resumes Feb. 20, Horwath said only her party can deliver a truly progressive alternative to the Liberals.She noted that Wynne’s signature policies for 2018 — pharmacare for everyone under 25 and hiking the $11.60 hourly minimum wage to $14 on Jan. 1 and $15 in 2019 — were lifted from the NDP.“All of our ideas,” Horwath said with a grin.Conceding it’s hard to get as much attention for her party’s initiatives — such as reversing Wynne’s majority sell-off of Hydro One — as the governing Liberals or the official opposition Conservatives, she said: “People see us as the third party.”But the NDP ...
