Chandigarh: The district consumer disputes redressal forum has directed the MC here to pay Rs 25,000 as compensation to a Manimajra resident, who had to shift the venue he had booked for a function of his after someone else organized an event there. Krishan Pal Sharma, 69, said in his complaint to the forum that he had booked the hall of the community centre at MHC Duplex, Manimajra, for March 4, but he had to shift the venue to the centre`s lawn as someone else had organized a function in the hall.
