Nagpur: Life of a lavni artiste, tracing her journey from a humble beginning that reached the pinnacle of glory, and then a downfall, was neatly depicted in Marathi play `Vithabai` at Suresh Bhat Sabhagruha, Reshimbagh, recently. Presented by Bodhisatva Foundation, the play was based on noted lavni dancer Vithabai Narayangaonkar. The real life story begins with Vithabai begging around to feed her children and then asking the audience to listen to her story.
