Govt to lodge FIR against 70 colleges in scholarship scam: Badole

Nagpur: After months of dilly-dallying, the Maharashtra government has finally agreed to lodge offences against 70 colleges that allegedly siphoned of crores of scholarship money. TOI on August 25 had reported how these colleges, named by the Special Investigation Team (SIT), gobbled up huge amounts through bogus students and fake documents, thus causing massive losses to the exchequer. Social justice and special assistance minister Rajkumar Badole informed about the government`s decision in a reply to a starred question by MLAs Hasan Mushrif, Bacchu Kadu, Yashomati Thakur and others.
