Key members from the Chinese soy industry visited Argentina to improve their understanding of the supply chain and share views on how to tackle sustainability challenges together with soy producers and traders from Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia and Paraguay. China`s soybean imports have almost tripled in the last 10 years, from 37.8 million metric tons in 2007 to 94 million metric tons projected for 2017/2018 (WASDE, August 2017) with Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay as 1st, 3rd and 4th largest global soy exporters.
