Euthanasia forces us all into a life or death decision

It´s difficult to speak out against euthanasia, mainly because of the harrowing stories told about some of those people who wish for it. Only recently, I witnessed a sick relative deteriorate painfully over the space of two years before dying. He was very distressed for much of that time. We all suffered a lot of emotional wear and tear during his ordeal. I am unable to separate euthanasia from suicide generally. There are many circumstances that can lead a person to believe - quite sanely and reasonably - that their life is so irreparably painful and miserable that it would better to have no life at all. The proposed euthanasia scenario is one among many. Should Kiwis have the right to die...
