High court allows Vikas Barala to appear in Criminology exam in police custody

CHANDIGARH: The Punjab and Haryana high court on Thursday allowed Vikas Barala, the son of Haryana BJP president Subhash Barala, who is facing trial for stalking and attempted abduction of the daughter of a senior Haryana bureaucrat, to appear in the Criminology paper of law course examination, under police custody. Presently confined in Chandigarh`s Burail jail for the past more than three months, Barala, 25, is a student of law in Haryana`s Kurukshetra University.
