GURUGRAM: Four years back, in November 2013, this city gave birth to a people`s movement called Raahgiri. For a few hours every Sunday morning, motor vehicles would be barred from plying on nominated stretches, allowing men, women and children to reclaim these roads. Every weekend, they`d be cycling and jogging and indulging in games of cricket - even dancing in the street. Nearly two years later, in September 2015, the public joined hands with corporate organisations, city police and the government for `Car Free Day`.
