Sheffield among ex-Tigers seeking spot in Hall

While Alan Trammell awaits his Hall of Fame fate with the Modern Era Baseball committee next month, former Tigers Gary Sheffield, Johnny Damon and Aubrey Huff are among the eligible players on the traditional Baseball Hall of Fame ballot, as is Omar Vizquel, who served as Tigers first-base coach the past four seasons following a 24-year career as a Major League shortstop.
