Jet hijack scare: Govt hands over Salla case to NIA, wants trial under anti-hijacking law
(The Times of India)
 
The aviation ministry has handed over the case of Mumbai jeweler and realtor Birju Kishore Salla, who created the hijack scare on Jet Airways` Mumbai-Delhi flight on October 30, to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). Aviation secretary R N Choubey said the ministry has recommended Salla be tried under the provisions of the stringent anti-hijacking law.
