Williamson County voters to weigh in on sales-tax hike

Nashville voters won´t be the only ones asked to weigh in on raising their taxes next year. The Tennessean reports that the Williamson County Commission voted Monday to send a proposed local sales-tax hike to the voters in a referendum. According to The Tennessean, the proposed increase - from 2.25 percent to 2.75 percent - would generate $60 million in additional revenue over three years.
