Getting to choose where their children go to school is more logistics than luxury for two Clarence families. The Millton and Murray families have two options next year; keep sending their girls 70 minutes north to Ward or take on the unsealed, stop-go highway to Kaikoura. They both prefer the latter, but neither are sure the quake-damaged highway will be reliable enough for the school bus.
