NEW DELHI: There is bad news for chartered accountants who were hoping to use their Indian qualifications in the US. The US government has rejected a proposal for a mutual agreement that would have recognised Institute of Chartered Accountants of India`s qualifications in return for those from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, which would have made it easier for professionals to practise in both countries.
