Spanish Tourist Killed By Brazilian Police

Brazilian police killed a Spanish tourist after the car she was in refused to stop at a police roadblock in the neighborhood of Rocinha in Rio de Janeiro, according to The Guardian. Local media said 67-year-old María Esperanza Ruiz Jiménez was with two other Spaniards, an Italian and a tour guide, the report said. She is the third tourist to be killed in a Rio neighborhood in less than a year, the report said.
