Two killed in Athlone shootout

Cape Town - Two men have been killed and three others are in a critical condition after a shootout in Kewtown, Athlone, on Thursday evening, ER24 paramedics reported. `At approximately 20h00, ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the five men at an apartment building,` ER24 said. `Unfortunately there was nothing paramedics could do to save the lives of two of the men and they were declared dead on the scene. `Three more men sustained serious injuries and were in a critical condition.
