A novel protective mechanism discovered from mitochondria

Researchers at the Department of Environmental and Biological Sciences, UEF, have discovered a novel mechanism safeguarding mitochondrial DNA. The study, published in PNAS earlier this week, was done in close collaboration with research groups from Madrid, Spain and Umeå, Sweden.
