Militancy-affected tribesmen compensated

BARA: An official of the political administration on Tuesday distributed compensation cheques among the tribesmen who suffered human and material losses during decade-long militancy in Khyber Agency. Around 125 tribesmen belonging to the Bara tehsil received compensation cheques at the Khyber House in Peshawar. Khyber Agency Political Agent Khalid Mehmood said compensation cheques were distributed among 125 families who had lost near and dear ones in prolonged militancy in Bara and Tirah valley. “Cheques worth Rs27.7 million have been distributed among the heirs of tribal families of Bara and Tirah,� he said.
