Forest dept to plant 7.50 cr saplings in 2018

Nagpur: Even as consecutive plantations done by forest department have failed miserably, the state government has revised plantation target for all the wings of the department at 7.50 crore in 2018. The decision was taken at a video conference at Van Bhavan held to take review of the progress in activities for massive plantation of 13 crore seedlings in 2018. `All the 11 territorial forest circles have been given revised targets,` said Shree Bhagwan, principal chief conservator of forest (HoFF), who convened meeting in which all CCFs were present.
