RTO illegally registers two saffron-green buses for city bus fleet

Nagpur: The BJP-ruled Nagpur Municipal Corporation recently approved purchase of six midi buses - painted in BJP party colours, saffron and green - as part of the city bus fleet. On Tuesday, the Regional Transport Office (Nagpur city) passed two such buses for inclusion in the fleet, despite Maharashtra Motor Vehicle Rules stipulating that city buses should be `signal red` in colour. NMC has appointed three red and one green bus operator to purchase buses and operate the city bus service.
