The World Humanitarian Day, designated by the United Nations in 2008, is celebrated on 19 August all across the world and is dedicated to recognize humanitarian personnel and those who have lost their lives working for humanitarian causes. This year, the Humanitarian Day is dedicated to protection of the civil population and employees engaged into humanitarian operations and all victims of armed conflicts.
