TIRUVANNAMALAI: A 47-year-old woman and her mother-in-law were found murdered at their house in Pakkiripalayam village in Chengam police station limits. One of the victims was reportedly raped after she was smothered to death by the perpetrators. The twin murder came to light when a neighbour found Fathima and her mother-in-law dead at about 6.30am on Thursday. Upon information, police personnel attached to Chengam Station rushed to the spot and conducted inquiries.
