Parrikar woos Ponnjekars with green public transport

Panaji: Chief minister Manohar Parrikar, who is also the BJP`s candidate for the Panaji assembly bypoll, has promised to make public transport in the city pollution-free by introducing 50 to 100 buses running on bio-fuel by the year-end. Releasing his manifesto on Thursday afternoon for the bypoll, Parrikar said that he will ensure 24x7 drinking water supply, install CCTVs in public areas and make soak pit-free Panaji a reality. Parrikar said that government offices will also be shifted out of Panaji to decongest the capital city.
