The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in May 2017 was 21.7% compared to 23.6% in May 2016 and the upward revised 21.8% in April 2017. The number of employed in May 2017 amounted to 3,744,154 persons. The number of unemployed amounted to 1,035,192 while the number of inactive to 3,236,814.
