Helicopter rescue required to save person from St Andrews rocks

A coastguard helicopter was scrambled to St Andrews on Saturday night after a person became stranded on rocks. The incident happened at around 10.30pm, with the casualty having come into difficulties near St Andrews Castle. A winch was used to lift the victim into the chopper, which is then understood to have flown to Ninewells . ......
