Perez breaks tip of right thumb, may avoid DL

The Rangers` attempt at getting a fully healthy rotation continues to be an elusive proposition. Left-hander Martin Perez suffered a broken tip of his right thumb on a hotel door on Thursday night and may miss his next start. The Rangers aren`t ready to put Perez on the disabled list because it is his non-throwing hand.
