Essex PC issued final written warning over use of excessive force and abusive language

May 24, 2017 A PC with Essex Police who put his hands around the neck of a member of the public and shouted abusive language at him has been issued a final written warning following an independent investigationby the IPCC. On 18 May, 2017, a misconduct panel found that PC Grant Snow breached standards of conductby using excessive and disproportionate force, using offensive and abusive language and that his conductundermined public confidence in policing. Each of the three breaches amounted to gross misconduct and PC Snow was issued a final written warning.
