IPL Auction: Gujarat Lions spent minimum to buy maximum players

NEW DELHI: Gujarat Lions bought the maximum number of players among the eight franchises at the 2017 IPL players` auction in Bengaluru on Monday. From their purse of Rs 14.35 crore, Gujarat spent a mere Rs 3.85 crore, the lowest, but bought 11 players, the most by any team at the auction and thereby taking their tally to maximum of 27 players. They added six bowlers, two batsmen and three allrounders to their squad for what will be their second and final IPL season.
