The reMarkable 2 tablet has finally replaced my trusty paper notebook

E-readers are too slow. Tablets like the iPad are too expensive and have battery life measured in hours instead of days. A stylus on my phone is too slippery and too slick. Pencil and paper? That`s the holy grail — and the reMarkable 2`s combination of focused software and awesome hardware finally replaced it for me. I have long been fascinated by E Ink devices; the promise of super-long battery life and easy daylight was alluring. However, they also had a well-earned reputation of having laggy displays. When the reMarkable 2 came out in mid-2020 they claimed to have improved their display to refresh twice as fast as the first-generation of their E Ink tablet.
