Gov. Ron DeSantis has delayed setting special elections to fill pending vacancies in three Democratic seats in the state Legislature — longer than any governor in decades. Now, they may sit vacant for the entire 2022 legislative session. A lawsuit is asking for a judge to order DeSantis to schedule the special elections.
