TikTok profiles should be returning to normal after the app was down for hours. As of 9:08 p.m. ET, TikTok says it has been restored and that everything should work as expected. What you need to know TikTok users were reporting issues connecting to the app. Some users saw blank profiles with reset followers and like counts, were unable to view videos, or faced trouble logging in to the app. After several hours, service was finally restored. TikTok users were being forced to look up from their phones as the popular social app faced an outage on Tuesday afternoon. Fortunately, service was restored later this evening. The problem seemed to have started around noon PT with more than 42,000 reports from the U.S. that the app was down, according to Down Detector.
