Windows Phone failed, but its design stood the test of time

Writer Ronald Comstock has penned an insightful piece over on XDA Developers, pointing out how futuristic the Windows Phone UI was in 2011-2014 and how it still looks so today, while the Andorid and iOS of the time look very tired and dated. From dark themes by default through tiles and mainly textual applications (but such beautiful text), it`s a good love letter to a phone UI that is now almost gone for good.
