Three days of traffic jams loom as FEC plans to shut down crossing on Broward Boulevard

A Florida East Coast rail crossing project would temporarily shut a major traffic artery on Broward Boulevard, disrupting traffic in and out of downtown Fort Lauderdale for at least two full business days between April 13 to 15. City and Broward County officials says they received limited notice and worry that the closing would pose major delays for police, fire, medical and other emergency services.
