CLEVELAND -- “We the People” went too far. None of the world`s major democracies champions freedom and rights as intensely as we do. None disparages government and counters the authority of law with the authority of the individual as intensely as we do. America is the odd one out. Some say, “Yes, that`s what makes us the greatest nation on earth.” We are great in many respects, but we are losing ground as a model for a well-functioning society.
