Evacuations ordered as Glass Fire burns in Napa, Zogg Fire spreads outside Redding

Fast-moving fires west of Redding in Shasta County and near St. Helena in Napa County and Santa Rosa in Sonoma County forced the evacuations of thousands of people Sunday, an ominous development as a heat wave swept over much of Northern California, stoking higher fire danger. The Shasta County blaze, called the Zogg fire, had consumed 7,000 acres as of Sunday evening, while in Napa County, the Glass Fire had burned some 2,500 acres alongside the smaller Shady and Boysen fires.
