Facebook says that is not enough, as it plans to waive fees until at least August of 2021. Reported by CNBC, Apple has temporarily reversed its decision to take a 30% cut of transactions from the Facebook app for virtual events that have been booked by small businesses. Last month, Facebook had publicly complained that the company collected 30% of these revenues, saying that it was hurting the small businesses that relied on these virtual events during the pandemic. `We asked Apple to reduce its 30% App Store tax or allow us to offer Facebook Pay so we could absorb all costs for businesses struggling during COVID-19.
