There have been calls for Conservatives to return gifts totalling £1.7m from one of the party`s biggest donors, after leaked bank documents suggested her husband had received payments from a Russian oligarch linked to President Vladimir Putin. Lubov Chernukhin has given made substantial donations to the Tories over the past eight years, paying to play tennis with both Boris Johnson and David Cameron in fund-raising auctions.
