The European Commission has approved a CZK 22.9 billion (approximately € 866 million) Czech wage subsidy scheme providing support to enterprises affected by the coronavirus outbreak. The scheme was approved under the State aid Temporary Framework. Executive Vice-President Margrethe Vestager, in charge of competition policy, said: `This wage subsidy scheme, with an estimated budget of € 866 million, will further support businesses that are severely affected by the coronavirus outbreak.
