Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga will on Sunday elaborate on schools` readiness to phase in extra grades on Monday as some unions are concerned this is still risky because Covid-19 infections are continuing to increase. Expressing concern is the SA Democratic Teachers` Union (Sadtu) which said even with grades 7 and 12 returning, many schools struggled with water, ablution facilities and space to exercise social distancing.
